Using the Interlibrary Loan Service

What is Interlibrary Loan?

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) provides students, faculty, and staff with access to library and instruction materials that are not available in the Kraemer Family Library catalog. There are two systems that provide interlibrary loans, Prospector and ILLiad. Prospector allows us to borrow physical materials from libraries in Colorado and the University of Wyoming. ILLiad allows us to borrow digital and physical materials from libraries around the world.

Who is eligible for Interlibrary Loan Services?

The following affiliates from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and all of the University of Colorado system may use ILL services:

  • Current students with valid University ID
  • Listening in Students
  • Current and retired faculty
  • Current staff

Who is not eligible for Interlibrary Loan Services?

The following patrons may not use ILL Services:

  • Community members with Colorado Library Cards
  • Students from non CU schools, colleges, and universities
  • UCCS alumni

Individuals not eligible for ILL services at UCCS should contact their local public library or university for Interlibrary Loan services.
